Dr. Anusha Bhojani is the new owner and optometrist at Alpha Optical, having taken over the practice from Dr. Alan Upchurch in July 2026. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry and completed residency in Ocular Disease/Low Vision and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Dr. Bhojani was drawn to Alpha Optical because she wanted to build long-term relationships with patients in a community she cares about. She's excited to connect with the practice's current patients and welcome new ones.
Outside the office, Dr. Bhojani enjoys pilates, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Alan Upchurch completed his doctorate at the University of Houston in 1986. His areas of professional specialty include management of ocular disease, contact lenses, refractive surgery consultation, and low vision rehabilitation. Dr. Upchurch is also certified by the Texas Optometry Board to diagnose and treat glaucoma.
